VACUUM
self portraits  of grief, 2024–ongoing

A series of self-portraits born from the void left by the sudden loss of my older sister last June.
In this work, I explore grief as an intimate and very physical process, a space where pain, absence, and transformation coexist.

The body becomes an archive of mourning, a record of both fragility and resilience, and the images reflect my attempt to inhabit that liminal space between loss and the life that continues, using the practice of self-portraiture as an act of presence—a way to confront the invisible and give it visual form.
